Summer Steak Kabobs are an easy meal idea that is sure to please kids and adults alike. Do the prep work in the morning and reward yourself with an easy dinner tonight!

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup canola oil
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons white vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1-1/2 pounds beef top sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1/2 pound whole fresh mushrooms
  • 2 medium onions, cut into wedges
  • 1 medium sweet red pepper, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 1 medium green pepper, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 1 medium yellow summer squash, cut into 1/2-inch slices
  • Hot cooked California-grown rice

Directions

  1. In a large bowl, combine first six ingredients.
  2. Add beef; turn to coat.
  3. Cover and refrigerate 8 hours or overnight.
  4. On 12 metal or soaked wooden skewers, alternately thread beef and vegetables; discard marinade.
  5. Grill kabobs, covered, over medium heat until beef reaches desired doneness, 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally.
  6. Serve with rice.
